Rene Hebert

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of René Hébert, who died peacefully on January 29, 2026 at Taché Centre in Winnipeg, at the age of 81.

René was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lorraine Hébert. He will be lovingly remembered by his children; son Daniel, daughter Michelle (Tom), and by his cherished grandson, Shane.

Born on February 25, 1944, René was the youngest of ten children born to Edward and Alice Hébert. From a young age, he discovered his passion for cutting hair, a craft that became not only his career but his lifelong calling. Through his work, René connected with countless people and built lasting relationships within his community.

Outside of work, René enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes. He was an avid golfer and proudly achieved a hole-in-one, a rare accomplishment that many golfers never experience in a lifetime. René also enjoyed bowling, loved attending Goldeye games, enjoyed traveling, and could often be found playing cards. These activities brought him great joy and many fond memories with family and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Taché Centre for their compassionate care and kindness shown to René over the past several years.

A celebration of René’s life will be held in the spring. Further details will be shared at a later date.
